AnywhereHired (“we,” “us”) runs a free job listings site. This page describes what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices. If anything here conflicts with a feature description on the site, the more specific description on that page applies.
What we collect
- Newsletter: email address and your selected alert category when you subscribe. We may store related technical data your browser sends (for example IP address and user-agent) for abuse prevention and delivery diagnostics.
- Resume matching: if you upload a PDF, we store the file so we can extract text and rank jobs. Files are stored on our server under controlled paths. Do not upload resumes that contain information you are not allowed to share.
- Employer job posts: if you submit a job, we collect what you enter in the form (title, company, links, descriptions).
- Analytics: we use common web analytics (for example Google Analytics / tags as configured on the site) to understand traffic and errors. Those tools may set cookies or use similar technologies.
- Server logs: our hosting provider may log requests, status codes, and similar data for security and operations.
How we use data
- Operate and improve the site, including job search, categories, and optional resume matching.
- Send newsletter emails when you have confirmed your subscription (and only for that purpose).
- Prevent spam, abuse, and technical failures.
- Comply with law when required.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your resume text to train third-party AI models.
Job listings and third parties
Many listings are aggregated from public sources or submitted by employers. Job pages may link to external sites. Their privacy practices are governed by those sites, not by us.
Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Uploaded resumes and newsletter rows may be removed when no longer needed or when you ask us to delete them, subject to reasonable technical limits and legal obligations.
Your choices
- Newsletter: use the unsubscribe link in our emails or contact us at hello@anywherehired.com.
- Resume files: contact us at the same address to request deletion of your uploaded file(s). We may need enough detail to identify the correct upload (for example approximate date and filename).
- Cookies / analytics: you can use browser controls to block cookies; some features may work less smoothly.
Children
This site is aimed at job seekers and employers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
International users
Our servers and providers may be located in various countries. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed where those providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
